Chief Medical Officer

William Boonn, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer at HOPPR and a practicing cardiovascular radiologist at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in cardiovascular imaging at the same institution. Additionally, Dr. Boonn pursued a fellowship in Imaging Informatics at the University of Maryland.

Before joining HOPPR, Dr. Boonn served as the Chief Medical Officer of Rad AI, where he continues to work as a medical advisor. He was also the co-founder and CEO of Equium Intelligence Inc., a healthcare analytics startup that was acquired by Rad AI. Previously, he co-founded and served as CEO of Montage Healthcare Solutions Inc., which was acquired by Nuance Communications Inc. in 2016, after which he continued as Chief Medical Informatics Officer.

Dr. Boonn is an active member of various national and international radiology societies and organizations. He has held several leadership positions, including chair and committee roles with the Radiological Society of North America and the American College of Radiology. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine.

In addition to his medical and entrepreneurial endeavors, Dr. Boonn is a member of the Board of Directors at the Cobbs Creek Foundation and is involved with Robin Hood Ventures, a network of angel investors that supports early-stage startups.
